self clearing codes? '14 6.7L
check engine light came on first start of the day, was on for a shortish drive, did not come on when restarted 20 minutes later. still going to have codes run but do not expect anything to come of that. Used to codes staying longer, or until cleared, even if the issue goes away or doesn't present again.
are there any codes that only show up when it happens? going to keep a close eye on it on cold starts, guess if this repeats I'll move the CTS Edge I have on my 6.0 over to this to record codes at the start.

Most likely whatever was out of spec during the first drive to set the check engine light returned to normal before or at the time of the restart. There should be a code stored in history even if the check engine light is off. Hopefully it's just a fluke thing and all will be good or you could have a potential issue starting and this is the first warning.
