I can’t find any info on speaker port locations other then what I already know. I have a 1992 E-150 with the L6 in it with a stripped interior except for the front (It is a Work truck). But for the life of me I can’t find what i think is 3 speaker ports. (I will add pictures Tomorrow! 5/4/21)
I could only find:
✔️-Two up front
✔️-Passenger side middle door (the forward most of the two)
...and well... is that it? What am I missing here? The two back doors don’t have screw holes where I’d imagine speakers would go but even then the space for the port seems a little small for even a 6”1/2’ speaker. And on the driver side nothing that even closely resembles a port.
Everything online says the same few things and either it’s, two guys arguing over what size they actually have, either 5*7 or 6*9 or 6.5. But not a single answer where or what the actual size is. Please help I have no music to drown out my thoughts on my daily drive. Thanks Guys and Girls any help is welcome at this point 🙏
All I can say for sure is on my 1990, E150 I have 6" round in the front doors, Never thought to look in the mid section and I have 2 at the rear of the van. I'll have to look when I get home from work and get back to this post...sorry.
I looked at mine, realize mines a conversion van...I have front door speakers and I have 2 in the rear mounted above the rear doors, none in the middle or on side door Right rear Left rear
I have a 1993 E150 Conversion(Explorer), 5.8l. The holes in the doors (cut into the actual metal) are all 6x8. 6x8 and 5x7 both fit because 5x7 come with extended mounting holes. 2 front doors, 1 side door, 2 rear doors. I just replaced the front and back, and wish they sold single speakers, or I would've replaced the side door already.. (My curiosity is do I have an amplifier hidden somewhere, because I also have 2 more 6.5s installed in the aftermarket furnishings.)

If you have the Ford premium sound system you might very well have an amplifier, the question is, did they put the amp in the right side kick panel, behind the radio or is it built right onto the back of the radio? Those are the 3 locations that I know of where ford mounted their amps.
