Hey Y'all, just checking in. Hope everything is going good. March & April were a rough couple of months. Lost my mother-in-law March 21st to a aortic aneurism. And dealing with her estate. Sold the F-250, and bought (now PLEASE don't shoot me) a 2004 Jeep Liberty 4x4, new woods vehicle. Needs some minor work but it drives pretty good and I can keep the Excursion out of the woods. I'm finally getting things caught up around here so hoping to spend more time relaxing.
No judging here!
I had though about getting one to pull behind our motorhome.
We are back to working 10 hour shifts again at work. I don't like it but I sure don't mind the extra money.
It's a fun little thing. took the 5 year old twin grandsons riding in it today. They had a blast. And I don't have to worry about scratching it like I do the Excursion.
Sorry to hear about your loss.
I take care of my mom in-law but thank goodness she does not live with us. I bought her a 2012 Cadillac SRX 2 weeks ago because she needed a newer vehicle.
Took the grandkids to Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge (in Waycross) today, The twins had a blast! We're gonna try the Folkston side sometime soon. Finally got 1 of the 2 adult three wheel bikes together (half the nightmare is over), now to finish the other for our daughter. All the parts for the tune-up on the Excursion came in today, Mondays project along with a couple of other little things I want to do to her before I get started on the Jeep. Hope everybody is have a great Mother's Day weekend.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your mother in law. As far as going through the woods goes, we need to all get us some new Broncos with factory 35's. I'd love to have the mid to high end one for a toy.
I got a call tonight and got offered a job as the service manager for the local Kubota dealership and I accepted. I interviewed over a week ago but then I didn't hear anything until tonight.
Congrats Chief! Less physical strain on the ole body. Y'all hearing about any gas shortages due to the pipeline getting shut down? Not hearing much here yet, but we'll see what happens
This gas shortage crap is probably a way for Biden to drive up the prices to pay for all the checks he has wrote but can't cash. But I digress. So congrats Chief. If they have any free heavy equipment to give away, I want first dibs, lol. Well I got the pads changed out on my truck and now I'll have to do some trouble shooting to see why the front brakes occasionally stick. Even my wife's car is crying for attention. The console shifter button wasn't getting it out of park so I got a little rough with it and forced it. I kept telling her to put it in neutral in case it stuck, but no she happens to be sitting at a Hardee's drive thru window. At least I was with her when it happened. I felt the button had a lot of play in it realized where the problem lye. Women, when will they ever listen.
Me and the wife just celebrated our 7th Anniversary Monday. And ate all you can eat shrimp at Red Lobster, HAMILTON PLACE MALL, 2200 Bams Dr NEAR, Chattanooga, TN 37421. Just so happens the all you can eat shrimp special is on Mondays. Also seen a billboard that said May 10th is National Shrimp day. We rode around and looked online but none of the nearby restaurants had any advertisements or banners out celebrating it. Just lucked out on the Red Lobster deal. Though my wife was more concerned about getting a refill on her Lobsterita drink than shrimp. I ate till I was miserable then I was satisfied. My waist was a 36 when I went in and a 38 when I came out.
Congratulations on the anniversary Adam. We're coming up on 17 years this October. Changed the spark plugs and coils on the Excursion today, still need to replace a few connectors on the coils. Right now I've got those tie-strapped in. I forgot how hard it is on the sternum (even worse now that I've had by-pass surgery). Adam if y'all ever get down this way I know several good seafood restaurants you should try.
On vacation this week in Orlando. We made it down on Tuesday in 8 hours. We have been to universal studios, islands of adventure, city walk and volcano bay water park. I bought one day water park tickets before we left home. I was able to upgrade them to yearlong passes and got money back!!
We ate at toothsome in city walk and it was pretty good. Thinking of Buba Gump shrimp factory tonight or Fire Eaters for a good steak. My 5 year old son is wide open. Finally got him to ride a few rides instead of being scared of everything. He is slowly coming around.
As the FNG to the GA chapter, figured I should introduce myself. Name is Scott, from Woodstock. Traded in the my problematic 2017 2.7L F-150 for a new F-250 last month (it was my birthday present to myself).
