I would have to say probably because you dont give a ****. I dont either I use my truck but dont have that problem.
You're right, I don't give a **** as long is it will come clean when I want it to. Also, it's rare that I park on paved areas, so I'd be cleaning it every day. I'm more into staying on top of recommended/required maintenance than cleaning the floors every day or two. It looks brand new when clean though, so the mats are doing their job. That one mat that's curled over looks like someone stepped on it. Hardly ever anyone in the back except the dog, so I probably just didn't notice and it got stuck that way. This truck will be for sale in August when I get back from a cross country camping trip if prices are still ridiculous.
Definitely seems like there are inconsistencies.
Age doesn’t seem to have anything to do with it. We have several sets in the family. I’m wondering if heat in southern states may trigger the curling. We live in the northern states where heat isn’t an issue.
I put Weather Tech mats front and rear in my '21, no issue with curling so far, but they're very new.
When I first installed them, they took a little bit to flatten out to the contour of the floor after being in the box. I noticed the first time that I shut the back door, that the front edge of the rear mat wanted to curl up under the door. I wonder if occurrences like that are leading to this. They seem to be less than pliable, especially when cold. I've noticed that if you fold one over on itself, it does not want to go back to it's intended shape very easily. My friend has the same mats in his '19 F350 and the fronts are pulling away from the kick panel pretty heavily. The Husky liners look like a good alternative if the Weather Techs don't survive.
I’ve had Weathertechs in the past. They have a hard plastic feel underfoot.
I went with the Husky’s this time and they are more rubbery. I like them better. And the fit and coverage is excellent.
Hmm, some did curl and some did not. Never mind how dirty the truck is.. That's what the mats are for and I'm glad my floors are protected from all that. Been traveling and I don't clean often inside. Maybe I'll contact them and see how their customer service is. And I think their commercial about how they're laser measured and cut is a little misleading at best.
I'd buy from them regardless unless I could find another alternative that's is 100% made in America.
Mine looked exactly like this in my 17. Didn't curl as bad as the one picture but had very noticeable gaps where dirt and rocks always migrated too. Changed to husky for the next 2 years and was happier but still not great. Went with Ford this time on the 21. Jury is still out
