seat tear down
seat tear down
Nice weather so I opted to tear down the seat today. 3 overlays on the seat and 2 on the back. here is some photos, Pretty sure there is some originality as built here to see. Got to do the rewire first but seemed like a good thing to tackle today
You are a brave man, Kevin
This is one of the jobs where one should hold the breath and have an additional Tetanus shot, just to be safe.
There is a nice cover on my seat. What's underneath I don't want to know…..

It took some hours, but I got them stripped, must have been about 200 hog rings, and those nails on the base are a nice paint the the rear. I have the whole seat kit from lebbaron bonney but will prep and paint the frames first, A nice rust converter, and sanding. This was just spur of the moment, gota get back to the wiring Weather was too good to resist
