If there isn’t a layer of cream (butter fat) floating on top after a day or two, it has been homogenized so the fats are evenly distributed throughout.
Last time I saw whole milk (with the cream on top) was when I was living in Minnesota circa 1968 and we actually drove to the dairy farm to pick up our quart bottles of milk. It was kind of a ritual to poke a thin knife down into the bottle to stir it up.
Grocery Outlet Bargain Markets does not carry it. Kroger/Foodsco doesn't have it either. But my local Safeway/Albertsons/Andronico's has it. *** Hill Foods has it also. I see it at Whole Foods. Most of the corner grocers stock it.
