crazy GM driver at gas station

This afternoon i was at my local station to get fuel, i pull up and there is a guy on opposite side pumping fuel into a chevy maybe 2018
anyway he proceeds to tell me to delete the DEF system as it will harm my engine if i idle for a long period of time, ........he said the def injects into the intake and will build up calcium deposits on the turbo and intake system and cause engine to fail
he promptly talked a good game about how he deleted it and now he can drive this truck (lifted with at least 37 s for tires) at over 170 MPH yep i said 170? he said yup and has had it at 200..
i finished and said good day as i climbed back in my truck.
he was a riot,

At the point where he said the DEF is injected into the intake manifold and into the engine, is where I would have chalked it up to anything coming out of his mouth is full of s***.

Some folks are very happy living in an alternate reality. Your first clue was he had a Chevy. It went downhill from there.

That must be a real hoot driving a lifted rig at 170 to 200 mph.

I can't imagine any sane person wanting to drive THAT fast in a 8000 lbs truck not designed to go nearly those speeds. I hope you're not sharing the roads he's on.

If u delete DEF system, you should change software program, Otherwise you will have a problem with engine speed.

That dude sounds like he's trying to compensate for something. Did he have an >8" exhaust tip? That usually also comes with the (lack of) package.
