I'm ready to pull the trigger. Do I order the 2021? I can wait for the 2022? What would I lose? The 12" Screen?

You waited too long, 2021 ordering is closed. Expect December or January delivery if ordered today. If not I see long delays in 22 and more shortages. As it is the 12" screen could be the first thing delayed.

That's a ridiculous assessment. Order now and you're at the front of the line after the initial stock orders, which start June 24th. Aug/Sep is much more likely.

No it's a very real assessment. I have 52 XL trucks on order. Best guess on delivery through Donlen is second week of September. We also know that high content trucks will be impacted the most by parts availability and are subject to late fulfillment. Once job 1 starts don't be surprised at how many options or trims become restricted for late availability.

Exactly.
I just put 7400.00 into a 550 with almost a quarter mile HARD miles.
Should complain too hard, besides normal maintenance, and replacing two fuel tanks in their warranty, now a third it's been a good truck.
We have 18 F150's still out that have been on order for months now. Normally they could delivered 3,4 or 6 at a time, now it's sporadic.

That's a lot of trucks. Your assessment was based on the chip shortage. I'm assuming you don't think Jim (Jim Farley, CEO) is lying when he says that Ford's chip shortage will end at the end of the 2nd quarter. That's June 30th. As a shareholder, I do believe him. He has a reason, probably a secret agreement with a chip maker. You must have faith, or you wouldn't be waiting on 52 trucks. The F250/350 line at KTP was not shut down for prolonged periods (some shifts cut), but not like the rest of Ford's lines. I don't think it's nice to discourage people from ordering (so that they frantically look for something in stock) by saying it will take that long. Last year, end of August 2021 orders were being delivered end of October (with builds starting beginning of October). The difference now is the soon to be ending Ford chip shortage.

Well no I have little faith, the 52 trucks on order are just a small order. Already have been down this road and had over 100 trucks canceled by Ford for parts content in late 2019. Not sure why aft fuel tanks are so hard to secure. The chip shortage won't be over by the second quarter. Ford doesn't supply all their suppliers with chips, not to mention there will be raw material impacts and issues assembling sub components. I expect these delays to look much the same as 2012 when Ford pulled options out of high end trim and made them unavailable. The first thing to go then was the Sony sound with Navigation.
I ordered mine over a month ago and it got a 2nd week July build date . in theory I should see it in August but due to shortages I don't expect to. if you ordered today you'd have to be on crack to believe you're going to see it before September even if everything goes perfect.
3.31 gears ? unless you're towing heavy loads all the time absolutely. this isn't a small block with a 4 spd so don't choose gears as if it was.
