Ok, i'm going to get an electrical fan, probably flex-a-lite, and while i've got everything ripped apart, i think i'm goign to install an underdrive pully. I just cant seem to find a website with the underdrive pulley on it. I was wondering if anyone has put one on before, and where they bought theres from, and what to look out for. Also if anyone knows a good place to find the fan and the pulley on one site, it would be appreciated
Hi Peter94,
And we are talking about a (type of vehicle, motor, year,?)
And why an under-drive pully?

He found it in my signature. anyway, i'm just looking to get some more hp out of the old 4.0, but i emailed DZK pulleys who told me that the 4.0 uses a balancer/pulley which makes it pretty much impossible to get any performance from putting on an underdrive pulley, and its also risky, he said that some of them have actually gone through a persons radiator, so hardly anyone makes them. So i think i'm just going to go witht he flex-a-lite for now unless anyone else has any suggestions of anything else i should do performance/maintainence wise while i'm taking things apart.
~Whew~. I'm relieved you have decided against the underdrive pulley(s).
I couldn't find my source to quote, so I was going to keep my mouth shut, but I have read somewhere reliable that this is a baaaad thing on an offroad truck in a lot of cases.
It seems we need the "extra" coolant flow and electricity provided by "standard size" pulleys.
Yeah, i was wondering about that too, i didnt really see how you could up on a smaller pulley and have it not affect your cooling or electricity, and if it did, it probably wouldnt have an effect on horsepower too.
