351M underdrive pulley
Does anyone know where I can get an underdrive crank pulley for a 351M? I plan on getting an electric fan and water pump so all it will be driving is the A/C compressor, alternator, and P/S pump (smog pump removed). I've searched for a while and haven't found one.

With 2.10 gears at 60mph i wouldnt think you'd be up that high in RPM to demand an underdrive pulley. To the best of my knowledge, there are 2 reasons for underdrive pulleys. The first reason is so that if you are turning your engine at say a more extreme speed like 6 to 8,000 rpm, the pulley would be necessary in cutting down the speed of the water pump(cavitation), alternator (unintended operating speed) and other accessories. One potential performance enhance the pulley may create is quicker acceleration of the engine because it would be easier to drive the accessories, however im not sure youd see an obvious benefit. Did you need the smaller pulley as a result of belt size options?

something to think about. you might need to get the 2 groove 4" crank pulley. the electric water pump pulley may not be small enough for the power steering belt to clear it using the stock crank one. and also if you do this you will loose lots of power from your altenator. you would then have to go with a 70 amp or better. I got mine from auto krafters. PA70 is the part#
