Here's a couple of the fan sitting on top of my radiator. I don't have any installed pictures.

Hey, Jess. Your set-up looks good. I have to think it is a GM take on the Contour fan that I am running. I'm glad it's working for you.
I recently had to change back to a brass and copper style radiator. I had tried Summit brand aluminum radiators, three of them, and each began to leak after two years. The reason I mention it is because this radiator is thinner and allows me to use any efan I choose, so I'm going to try the two speed Taurus fan I've had hanging in my garage for years. I was surprised to calculate the actual surface area covered by my dual Contour fans was less than the Taurus fan. I'm very curious to hear ( nine curved blades) and to read the difference. I'll be running them with a Volvo controller.
What I've learned about the Contour dual fans is that both the fans are single speed. Even when you use the low speed resistor that Ford used oe, the same amount of current is still being discharged or used. Yes, the fans spin slower when the power is routed through the resistor on low speed, but as I said, the same amount of juice is being used as when they are on high speed. For me, that spike when they turn on causes my msd to stumble. So, I believe I'm going to look at another fan, or possibly install one of the delay relays to one of the fans so that only one fan activates initially, and then 15 secords or so later the other fan starts. That way I will get a much more friendly spike at turn-on.
