07 stock wheel replacement
I have the 2007 20" OEM aluminum wheels size 20" x 8.5" with 44mm offset. Looking to buy new rims and interested in knowing how much bump out I'll get in replacing. 44mm = ~1.75". If I buy new rims that are 9" wide and have a zero offset, will my new rims sit 2" outward from my OEs?

offset is how far the rim sets from the CENTER of the rim dimension.. on a 8.5 inch rim with 1.75 inch offset, you would have half of 8.5 or 4.25 minus 1.75 inches sticking out from the HUB.... or 2.5 inches.
on a 9 inch rim with zero offset, you would have 4.5 inches minus zero .... so that would be 4.5 inches sticking out from the hub.
so i agree, the new rims would set OUTWARD an additional 2 inches..
