I know that 5-6 can be set for hot all the time. I was wondering if 1-4 are tied in to the accessory delay> I would like to have 1-4 power some charging ports for gps camera phones etc. I believe in Forscan I can change the timeout for the acessory ports and was wondering if that has any impact on upfitter 1-4 or are 1-4 tied only to run?
THe end result is I would like the accessory timeout to to apply to 1-4? any thoughts?
1-4 are tied to ignition status. No easy way I know of to time them from the accessory delay. You could rewire the relay block with a new power input. Pull a line off the accessory outlet to trigger a 100A relay, and power the block from that. Otherwise, as soon as the truck is turned off, upfitters 1-4 (and 5,6 of configured) turn off.
Thats what I figured. The good news is the USB plugs don’t show any 12v current draw until I plugged in my phone. I think I will just run one of the 40A upfitter to a small small 4 position fuse block and fuse each of these about 5A
