Mastercraft Tires

Any opinions on Mastercraft Tires for light truck, specifically LT235/75R15. I have not heard of these tires before.

Thanks,

Mastercraft Tires

Do not purchase tires just based on price. Check the sidewall of these tires and look at the performance codes stamped. Such as temperature rating A, B, or C. A "C" rated tire will not stand much high temperature. This is what caused the Firestone tires to fail because people ignored the temperature.

Check the wet street code.

Check the wear code.

Look for all of the codes on the sidewall and make the dealer show you exactly what they mean. Dont just take their word for it.

Also check the load rating for your truck so that you have the right tires for the loads you carry.

Mastercraft Tires

rob88, A local tire dealer in my area sells the Mastercraft and Courser tires which are generic Cooper's. I have a set of the Courser OTD's 9.50x16.5 on my 3/4 ton Ford 4x4. This is a heavy lug tire, and they actually wear like iron, and don't cut up bad on gravel. It is a well contructed tire. I have hauled extremely heavy loads with no problems at all. He just started carrying the Mastercraft tires but I'm starting to see a lot of them in the area, but haven't heard nothing bad about them. But like the above post said check the ratings on the tires to match them to your driving habits. Their web site is www.cooper.com then find the Mastercraft name on the left of your screen. I think it list's a few other tires that they make as well.
