I have some questions as I’m new to tuning my truck. I was told it wasn’t good practice to blab all my info and the company info, so I won’t.
Some general questions for the experts out there.
I have about 10 different tunes available in my queue. They range in hp, exhaust sound and fuel dump. Are higher hp tunes typically suggested when hauling heavy loads or are those tunes meant more for empty running, racing or just showing off?
I’m experimenting with a few of them to see what the fuel mileage differences are but I got to thinking about towing.
You probably need to get an EGT probe to keep tabs on the temps when towing.
Thats a good point and yep I have the ability to watch the temps on my truck dash and on my phone through the tuner app. I just don’t know enough about each tune yet to know which can be safely used when hauling. Thx.
