Electrical gremlins, here I come.....

Hello everyone, so, truck in question is a 08 job 2. Its an FX4 truck, leather, steering wheel controls, no nav/no power sunroof/no power rear slider. I picked up a set of OE Ford running boards (from an '16 Plati), the module and plugs (all under $500cad). I'm pretty confident they never offered prb until 11+ so, as long as the module has power and ground, will the boards operate as intended? I'm unclear on the CANBUS - and +. Here is a copy of the diagram in question.

The MS CAN bus is needed to tell the module what to do, you mite get lucky by hooking it up to your truck and it mite read the door status message from the CAN bus. If it doesn’t work than the CAN message changed ID address when they change truck generations (08-10), (11-16), (17+) or it needs other messages that your BCM/SJB doesn’t generate.
