So, after using a pry bar to set the new transmission mount in (power torque) I went to finally fasten it in when I ran into a snag. The holes didn’t line up. I’m guessing it’s because I’m sitting on an uneven driveway?
I guess I need to drop the transmission crossbar but I have questions. I’ll be using my Daytona 3 ton floor jack to hold my transmission up while I remove the crossbar, there’s two bolts on each side of the frame that look like rivets or bolts ran through. What could I use to get to them? I don’t want to lose the bolts into the frame or cut rivets off.
My only issue is the mount is correct in dimensions and hole spots but I’m a half inch off of the holes evenly on both sides.
Thanks guys, this has been a learning experience.
