Steering Shaft U-Joint?

Steering Shaft U-Joint?
Does anyone know if the u-joint in the intermediate steering shaft is still available (new)? Where might I get a hold of one if so? I am working on a 71 F250 4X4.

You got a good lookin truck. I asked the same question (I also have a 71' F-250 Highboy) concerning the u-joint. I was told in this forum that the u-joint is not replaceable. You have to replace the whole steering shaft. 70'-79' will fit or buy an new one for $200-$300. If this is wrong please correct me.

Yes, you are probably pretty darn close with the replacement shaft price. I figured the u-joint was probably obsolete, but I thought I would throw the question out there and see what I got back. I am going to with McGuire Bearing Co. on Friday. I have had pretty good luck with finding bearing type hardware. If I get any possitive answers I will post them. Thanks
