New side piece I was given this truck from my grandpa, unfortunately Im not at all in any sort of financial or storage position to keep it, nor do i have any use in it at all. Its a 1994 F350 IDI Turbo with between 100-102k miles (the speed sensor is on order), XLT 4x2 DRW. The interior is PERFECT, the exterior is rust free and (for the most part) dent free. The bed is that of a 30 year old truck. Random holes for whatever grandpa needed a hole drilled for, 5th wheel installed with the goofy tailgate installed.
As much as i would love to keep and make like new, Im not at all that guy and my wife would make me her ex husband and take half my stuff, and probably get the truck in the process. Im seeing listings anywhere from $5,000 to $20,000. How do you guys suggest i find a reasonable price for both parties? And best way to sell, ie marketplace, CL (prefer not), sell to dealer,...?
thanks in advance for any advice.
Why did you order a speed sensor? Is the odometer blank? As you probably already know the “goofy” tailgate was for the 5th wheel trailer. Easy enough to sell and put on a traditional tailgate or let the new owner do that. The non turbocharged IDI is no powerhouse but it will run forever.
Value is regional and what someone is willing to pay. You will most likely get a more from a private sale than a dealer will ever give you. My guess is that the market isn’t huge for that truck but I could be wrong.
I bought my current 91 from capital city trucks in Jeff City. Had it shipped to Houston. I' dealt with a very nice guy named Jason,. With some pictures he could probably give you an idea of what the truck is iworth in that area or he might buy it if you want to sell it or maybe put it on consignment. I think he would probably remember me. Sandy
