First a little info about the truck. '48 F-3 cab on a S10 frame. Attempted mounting the pedals yesterday using the donor parts from the S10. Trimmed the pedal assembly down to fit up in the dash. They seem to set farther away from the firewall than I was expecting. Does anyone have experience with using pedals mounted to the firewall?
I used my donor c4 vette brake pedal-booster with some minimal firewall - pedal modifications . It does look like you have a long way to move so modifying the pedal assembly is going to take some work . I believe your clutch is a cable so that will be less affected but you will need to modify your brake actuating rod accordingly . It also appears as though you could go to a straighter clutch pedal shaft keeping in mind the pedal angle is designed to be flat to your foot when depressed .
Kind of a common problem when using unoriginal parts, you are going to have to shorten the the fire wall mount end and extend the dash mount bracket.
It also looks like the petals are to far to the center for a gas petal to be mounted for comfortable use. The clutch linkage might be a challenge.
I keep telling myself that: It is never easy, but if it was, everyone would do it !

Unfortunately the clutch is hydraulic. Which is going to be problematic.

Definitely going to look into shortening the mount.
I had to lengthen the mounting bracket under the dash on my 50F1, 1990 donar. I also had to lengthen the brake pedal, eliminate clutch pedal and modify gas pedal linkage. Frankly I never been satisfied with the gas pedal on mine.
Check out my videos, I used the assembly from a fox body mustang, maybe you'll see something that might help. Just make sure to also tie it into the dash, you want it to be SUPER strong, maybe even beef up the firewall like I did;
jstandle I will definitely check out your videos. Thanks. Stopped to talk with a guy I know that has 48 sitting on a S10 frame. He was using the exact setup I am trying to put in mine. Pic for reference.

That's great! That will be much more helpful than my stuff since mine is a different year and I used a different donor, just a similar concept.
