Help! My 2017 Ford F450 diesel dually has an issue.

Help! My 2017 Ford F450 diesel dually has an issue.

While driving the instrumentation cluster, radio, windows and locks Will go dead and in different amounts amount of time come back on and be normal.

Sounds like a harness connector or ground issue.

Thanks for the tip

I will check the voltage. It starts fine for sure. But I just figured out if I sit in park, and rev the engine, it all cuts out exactly at 2500 rpms. I did have it in a few years back for the “service charging system now” message. They ran a new wire if I remember correctly.

Voltage won't tell you much about battery health, but doubt that is the issue.

Any computer controlled vehicle is especially sensitive to battery power issues.
If one or both batteries have a bad cell in them, it can affect power delivery to the various computers in the truck, but since the batteries are tied together they can still test up to 12v, but their reserve strength can be compromised.

But, since you say there has been zero cranking issues, very unlikely a battery issue.

As I said above, sounds like a connection issue/ground fault in a harness or ground point.

Stuff like this can be super hard to diagnose and track down.

some folks with that message had erratic primary alternator readings.

that’s why I brought it up.
