I just bought a 2003 F150 with a 4.2 V6. My question is is when I got it check engine light was on it said the mass airflow sensor was bad well I ran okay and I still drove it for two more days. Thats when it started shuddering and losing power it felt like. Well take it to the auto parts store I said camshaft position sensor bad. I got that replaced it ran okay for maybe an hour for me to get to work shut it off and I can't get it to start again I have replaced the ignition control module I've checked information sure that I have fuel and it still won't turn over even while spraying starter fluid inthe throttle body. I'm seriously lost any help would be greatly appreciated
We need those codes from you to even have a chance. We can’t look at your truck over the Internet. Well, with today’s technology, you probably could webcam it, but that’s a different story and I have a massage appointment in two hours to keep.
Anyway, point is, codes would help us get a start. You’re just firing the proverbial parts cannon at something you haven’t tried to diagnose yet. Let us hopefully save you some money and get this right.
”sure that I have fuel” means nothing. If fuel pressure isn’t between two particular PSI figures, you’re going nowhere.
