Need some help here. I bought a 94 F150, 2wd, 4.9.
It has a 5-speed transmission. Shift **** is labeled 1,2,3,4,OD, and all five do work, it's a 5-speed. While installing a new clutch, I went to buy a new front seal for the trans. The front seal for the 5-speed, and I went to three different parts stores, is bigger then the one from my trans. When they looked at the seal for a 4-speed, it matches my trans.
What do I have?
Here's a picture of the tag.
Unless it's been changed from OEM, it's a Mazda M5R2 trans. About the only other 5-speed you would find in there would be the ZF5, and only if somebody swapped it in. If you have a ZF, you will know by it's having a granny gear for 1st.
