Well, after all these years I still have my old trusty 2003 F250 V-10. It got a slew of recent updates this past spring including some 35"x12.5" Copper STT Pro rubber. Does anyone have any advice for calibrating the speedometer. It's off enough to get pulled over driving at highway speeds with the tire change, lol.
I know of three options but have come up empty handed on all three. The first was to have a dealer re-calibrate via a Ford scan tool by adjusting the rev's per mile seen by the ABS system. My dealer was unable to find any option in their computer that would allow them to make that change. I did some reading it appeared that was only an option from 99' through 02' but that wasn't overly conclusive so maybe we just we're looking in the right spot? The other options were to install a Hypertech "TrueSpeed" or FMDK Inc. "Speed Wizard". Unfortunately neither of those companies make those product any longer. so at this point I'm looking for some advise, any help would be appreciated!
From What I've been reading you should be able to change it in the ABS module all the up to 2004, they didn't change procedure until 2005. Maybe call a different Ford dealer or a local tire shop and ask how they calibrate.
