I've been getting the old girl into a daily runner, but still have a slight miss that increases with temperature. Over the last 8 months I have replaced/rebuilt/refreshed plugs, wires, coil, rotor and cap, carb, and head. All changes were needed and helped. Last was the router and cap which were worn and corroded: made a great difference.
Now, idling cold but off choke and high idle, she purrs. As she warms, a mild miss starts and increases. It isn't bad enough to cause a real issue, but it isn't right. When changing the rotor, I felt some slop in all three axises. Not a ton, but enough to make me wonder.
The distributor, gear, and guts are the last original ignition parts except for the magic box on the driver's fender well.
Does it sound to you like the dizzy is bad?
Forgot to mention, best guess is she has between 250,000 and 300,000 miles.
