As a Private pilot, I kept an “airport car” for years at a remote outdoor airport Florida parking lot. It would be parked unattended for sometimes up to 3 months at a time.
I used a VW solar panel that VW used when transporting their cars by boat from Germany to prevent battery drainage. It was attached to the inside of the windshield with suction cups and plugged into the cigarette lighter receptacle. The panel was rated to put out 170 ma @ 18 v max
I have a 2020 F350 6.7L. I was looking under the hood for a place to mount the NOCO Gen52X control module. I could not find a place big enough to mount an emergency beer bottle opener let along the NOCO Gen52X controller. I would like to hard mount the controller. The place I found us from the under side of the front end up and behind the air dam behind the front license plate. I could make brackets to mount it, but was wondering if someone has found a suitable location mounting the box. Thanks
I mounted mine right behind the grill up high. Plenty of room and not at all visible.....
For what it is worth I had 8 Battery Tender brand chargers I pitched in the trash and they are happily performing in the land fill. Find something better....... It got expensive for me trying to figure out why I was killing batteries in the last 2 years.
