Bed mats have been discussed numerous times in the past, but I could not find anything on the Ford Bed Mat - Impact. I am going to put a cap on my bed and thought a little padding might be nice on the knees.
I have that mat and really like it. I've had it for about 3 years now, it's holding up well. I really like that it covers the gap between the tail gate and the bed so you can sweep the bed out without crap getting in there. I constantly slide stuff in and out of the bed and it seems to be holding up well. I put a motorcycle in the bed and wasn't thinking and put the kickstand down. The foam held up just fine, I was worried it would puncture through but it didn't. As far as work trucks go, I am relatively easy on it as far as beating up the bed, I generally have a bed cover on it and use the truck more for towing but have moved tools, firewood and motorcycles in the bed and the mat's holding up very well. It is not as 'sticky' as a rubber bed mat, things will slide around on it. It's not super slick, but doesn't offer a lot of resistance to sliding. I generally tie anything down in the bed so it wasn't a concern for me, but could be for you.
I am debating this vs a bed rug with a rubber mat on top. I like the rubber because nothing moves around on it. Do things stay in place well, or just sort of with this mat? Rubber mat on a bed rug is kind of like suspenders and a belt, but it works
I like to have spray in bed liner (Line-X etc.) and I put a Bedrug over it (just on the bed not the Bedrug that goes up the side walls). They're durable and soft enough to make crawling on my knees tolerable - better than a hard rubber mat (which if they see the sun here in AZ turns it into a burning black mat) and the cost is good. You can pressure wash/spray out a Bedrug. I like them a lot for these reasons.

The Impact Mat is not like a rubber mat as far as keeping things in place. Plastic tubs will slide around but, for me, thats one of the things I don't mind about it. It's easier to slide things into and out of the truck. With a rubber mat, you can't really do that. I tie down anything in the bed regardless so I don't mind things being able to slide a little bit. It's not as bad as a plain, painted bed but it's not a rubber mat.
I’ve had this sort of rubber mat in my last 3 p/u’s. Water passes through it, keeps stuff from sliding around, easy to cut and fit around wheel wells and hitch.
When the hitch is out I have a piece that covers that area.

On my current truck (to be replaced soon), I've been running a rubber mat on a Bed Rug for 16 years under a cap. The rubber mat is much more durable than the Bed Rug (as noted by the tailgate wear on the Bed Rug). For most of the stuff I put back there, it has the right balance of sliding vs tipping over. I had a Rhino Liner once that had great traction, so everything would tip over instead of sliding. Compared to a plastic liner years ago where everything would slam the front upon braking and then slam the tailgate upon acceleration.
I have this same rubber OEM bed mat since day 2 of owning my truck. Even though my truck came with the Ford sprayed in bed liner, I wanted a little more protection. This rubber mat has probably saved my bed numerous times.
I use the Andersen Ultimate 5th Wheel Hitch also. I had to cut a hole out of the center where the gooseneck ball goes but that isn't a bid deal to me. I see you installed the OEM 5th Wheel connector as well unless your truck came prepped already. Mine did not.
