Hi everybody, new to the sight and already have questions that some of you might be able to help me with. I have never owned a ford so I am lost. My best friend gave me his 2000 excursion, it has been sitting for about a year. i put a new battery in it and it fired right up and then shut down and will not fire anymore. Can someone help me in the location of the fuel pump relay which I hope thats the problem and not the fuel pump. Im not hearing the fuel pump sing when I turn the switch on, It run good when he parked it summer before last, we took it to the beach many times. It has 211 thousand miles on it and the body is in great shape. I even priced having the V-10 switched out to diesel but the local diesel shop wants 15,000 dollars to change it over if I furnish the motor. Thats to steep for me. The V-10 will work fine.

Neither the fuel pump relay nor the reset switch will cause a "No crank" condition. Either would cause a "Cranks but does not start" condition. A "No crank" condition means the starter motor does not rotate the crankshaft.

so it will crank, but is not trying to start? Check you fuel reset as stated above
