Long/hard start after upgrades
I just got my 2001 7.3 back together after sitting for several months. I fixed several leaks on the top end. Replaced all fuel, hpop lines. Did a EBPV delete with a new turbo pedestal and an IAH delete. I installed new banjo bolts, a fuel cross over and oil cross over all from Riff Raff. I got it running today and after about 30 minutes it got to running pretty smooth, atleast for 7.3 standards. Now though, it takes about as long to start. About 6-8 seconds to fire off, but once it hits, it runs like a top. The glow plugs and head gaskets/harnesses are new as well. It’s almost like fuel is draining back or maybe oil? It can’t be good on the starter.

You did a helluva lot of work on that engine, including some key preventative maintenance (HPOP and fuel lines). That has to feel good, having her fire up and run well.
