I heard on the news that 50% of the people in San Francisco have had at least 1 vaccination already. Along with pre-existing infections, that has to be up in the 60% range (just a guess). That has got to be good news.

 

That is cool.

Unfortunately, the rest of the world is not at that level yet. We can't beat the disease locally, without doing it globally.

Overall, I'm encouraged by the rate of vaccination in the US overall. There are pockets of very high vaccination, but that is mainly in low-population states (AK, and a few others). Quite remarkable that CA is getting close to 20 million vaccinations now. The challenge is going to be those places out of the metro areas.

 

Happy Saturday Nor Cal. Just came back from a car show at the local O'Reilly's/Walmart parking lot, put on by Jimmy's Sports Emporium. I will post pics when I get them out of the camera and into this computer. Too tired to do it now.

Sounds like you have a roll of film that you have to develop negatives, and print.
The challenge is to vaccinate Wendy Williams, and her followers.

 

No, the challenge was to take the SD card out of the camera, put it into the USB multimedia card reader, and plug it into the computer, then, because the computer will not recognize the card reader unless I reboot it, I reboot the computer. Then I get to look at all the pictures I took with the camera, and find out half of them are blurry. It seems the auto focus is no longer working. If I zoom all the way out, the picture is fine, if I zoom in at all, it goes out of focus. I have two lens, a Nikon 35-55 zoom, and a Tamron 80-200 zoom. The problem happens with both. So, it looks like I will have to take it to a repair shop.

This right after my Panasonic 3D Blu-Ray player/home theater system quit working last week. I turn it on, and get the "Hello" message, and then it turns itself off. After chatting with their support team, and sending a repair request to their Florida repair center, they tell me the parts are no longer made for that model. I bought it in 2013 when I got my settlement check. I got lucky with that one though. I did a Google search for the model number, and found one on eBay for sale for $69.99 plus tax. just the unit, no cables, no speakers nothing. Fine by me, I have everything, just need the unit. Free shipping means they send it the cheapest method possible, so I will not get it until April 14th. However, it saves me the time and money of buying a surround sound receiver and a separate 3D Blu-Ray disc player.

This must be the year items wear out. The microwave that died in January was 15 years old. The Blu-Ray player 8 years old as is the Nikon camera. My church is having a Easter egg hunt after services tomorrow. I am going to take the camera and both lenses and see if I can get clear manual focus shots with it. Hopefully that will work. If not, I hope Nikon doesn't tell me they don't have parts for it.

I did not see too many Fords at this car show. Lots of low rider Chevies, one Cadillac, a 1947 Plymouth, and several motorcycles. There were a few late model Camaros, but they left early. And then there was this:
