April BS Thread
So here we are. Spring has sprung & the temps last night weren't as cold as predicted... Thankfully.
The standing water pools are slicked with fuzzy yellow & the oaks are just crankin' up.
Hope you & yours are healthy and things in your corner of the world are looking up.
Carry on.

It was a beautiful Easter weekend!
I hope everyone got to get out and enjoy the wonderful weather.
I also hope everyone had time to remember the reason for Easter. ..... Our Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead and gave everlasting life to all that will accept it.
Have a good week everyone!

We had Friday off for Good Friday.
I haven't seen my computer screen since Thursday afternoon.
We have been outside working in the yard during this NICE weather.
How about y'all?

Project from the last week or so.
Addition of trans pressure gauge & A/F meter. Red-did key on power for them with a relay, fuses & barrier strip.
Put the wiring in last year when I swapped out engine harnesses.

Nice set-up David!
I want to build a small console to put in front of my bench seat. I want about 4 basic gauges in it.
What brand of gauges do you like?

I like Auto-meter & the Phantom line. White face & bold letters/numbers.
I went with the AEM because it has rep higher than the AM unit at lower cost.
The trans press. is VDO cause there ain't no 25-28 "bar" (400+ psi) unit in any body's line up.
That's also the last white face they have & it's discontinued.

I like those white face gauges for sure!
AND... I knew you would know quality. I don't want to buy a crummy set and have to up grade. I will just get the good stuff to start with.

Yep.... Auto Meter seems to be a bit pricey.
Do you have a recommendation for a decent set of "middle of the road" priced gauges?

Hell, if the logo doesn't bother you, you could go with Summit's house brand.
AM has a second tier brand called Autogauge, I think.
Biggest difference in all are electrical/mechanical types, sweep of needle & lighting, so it's just a question of what want + pay for.
All mine are electric save for the temp.
