I have a 6.7 powerstroke king ranch 4x4. Trans temp runs around 225 to 235 sometimes 237iv seen. I just bought the truck. Not sure what to do
I have a 6.2 king ranch and 4x4 and my tyranny temp not towing stays about 190, towing and going up hills gets to about 210.. I know yours is a desel but still kinda high..
Depending on where you live and how you drive, that doesn't sound too bad at all. On a hot day my trans in my Wagon will run that warm.
Newer vehicles are designed to run at higher temps all-around. If the motor is hotter the fuel burns more completely, causing less emissions. That's why they are spec'ing higher weight oils in everything, and a lot of the fluids are now synthetic to fight wear.
