Cam Selection VS Stock E4OD converter??

I wanted to get this 351w build going last fall but a house remodel job sucked up all my time until a week ago. I have a 94 F150 4X4 E4OD 5.8L roller cam block which I crawled under the truck and confirmed just to make sure its was a roller block. The truck just turned 88,000 miles. I bought it 4-5 years ago or so from the original owner with 67,000 miles who stored it inside every winter and was a retired gentleman. Plans for now is to use the stock bottom end. Maybe in a few years I will build a 408 stroker but I will have to save up some more cash for that project so I am looking at a top end only right now. The truck is mostly used for highway towing. I dont drive it much into town as I live in the country and spend most of the time at 60 + MPH. I have a daily driver for most town driving that needs done.

Planned parts are... PimpXshift, Trickflow or AFR heads and I am leaning towards Trickflows for PTV clearance. 3:73 or 4:10 gears on 31" tires, 225LPH fuel pumps & bigger injectors, Adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Pacesetter 1-5/8" long tubes dumping into a 3" Y single exhaust. etc, etc, etc.

My question to you guys is how much Cam Duration can I get away with using the stock torque converter?? I would like to be able to use in the likes of a 221/225 @ .050" or Max of 224/232 @ .050" area. LSA would be 112-114*, Lift in the .512-.540" area. I know the duration will be limited by PTV clearance but would like to know how the stock converter would handle a bigger duration cam.

It's a 2000 stall converter when unlocked so as long as you don't turn the motor into a low rpm gutless wonder it should work fine.

Thanks Conanski. I wasn't planning on turning it into a low rpm gutless wonder. Thats one of the reasons I am going with a 2 into 1 exhaust. I really just wanted to know how far you could go with a stock converter.
