I am still fighting with a no start (all the numbers are checking out). One thing that I have been thinking of is that when it first no started, it was cold outside. The fuel filters were almost brand new but replace because they were overdue and the truck was lacking power. The seconder bowl does fill up quickly and the truck feels like it is on the edge of starting, but just can't quite get over the hump.
Would a pressure test confirm that the filters are gummed up and or gelling in the lines? I figured the truck would start, but just run crappy.
I hate to put new filters in for the heck of it ($$). The current one under the hood looks good.
I haven't looked into glow plugs. It is pretty warm here now (50s).
Do you get any smoke at all out of the exhaust when cranking ?
If so and you have a block heater plug it in for at least 4 hours then try to start.
If it starts glow plugs and controller don't skimp by OEM here you will be glad you did !
