Hello everybody, In need of someone's opinion. I have a 2009 f-250 with the 6.4l, The problem I am having is during hard acceleration the engine will reach about 2500 rpm and then starts to bog down like it isn't getting enough fuel. It has new fuel filters and a new HFCM. Was able to monitor fuel rail pressure with the forscan software. When the problem would occur the commanded rail pressure would be about 24,000 psi but actual rail pressure would drop to around 1 to 2,000 psi. I need all the help I can get with this, thanks.
forgot to mention it earlier, but it also has a new rail pressure sensor. This problem started before we replaced any parts. Could the check valve in the secondary filter housing cause this problem?
if you have a new rail sensor, new fuel conditioning module and get Up lift pressure , and direct measurement of the fuel rail show the readings you are indicating.....you need to take it in to have the hpfp checked out.
But, if this is a new to you truck that you are trying to get going...and you obtained in this condition and are trying to get it going... we don’t know if this had a fuel system failure and a complete repair was done or not....metal fragments in the fuel system is almost impossible to get out ......
