Oil Filter Conversion Kit
Are the flimsy conversion kits the only solution for the oil filter old to new? Or is there something else fantastic out there I don't know about? This is what I'm replacing;

Those “flimsy” adapters actually work quite well, and disappear once your spin-on filter is installed. Think I had to modify it a bit by bending the plate , made it seal better, but otherwise no problems on my old y-block. Not sure about alternatives, other than say, an Amway toilet-paper bypass one . Remember those? Guess there must be plenty of remote mount racing ones, but hardly necessary for most of our trucks.

Make sure that it comes with the thick fiber gasket. If not...get one from a Thunderbird parts supplier...or ask me, I may have one. The rubber gasket will squeeze out and sneak inside under the adapter plate and leak. Other than that, the plates work fine.
