Oil Filter Kit

What do you guys think of the oil filter relocation kits? DO they work well? Do they leak at all? My truck just came off the warranty, and I thought I'd make life a little easier with a relocation kit.

Oil Filter Kit

Considering how hard it is to get to the filter, I'm putting one in. I plan on doing it next oil change (2000k to go).

Plus I have one of those oil filter heat sink coolers I'm dying to put on. There's no way to get it on with the current oil filter location.

I found 2 kits for Expy's, the one from JC Whitney (PermaCool) runs for $45 and the better one(in my opinion) from Transdapt runs for $60.

I LOVE the idea of the braided stainless hoses under there instead of just rubber hoses carrying the precious cargo. And it allows you to use the stock size oil filter. When I do it, I want a kit with the braided stainless.

Oil Filter Kit

Well I just couldn't wait 2000k so I installed the relocation kit. I only lost the oil that was in the old filter. The hardest part was determining the location of the new filter. I chose the frame driver's side just behind the bumper. This should make changing the filter a snap.

The only downside to this is that if I get into a front end collision I will likely lose my oil and have to be towed/rollbacked.
