Hey Guys, first time user. I have a 17 model F250. I'm having an intermittent issue with my steering. This issue will come and go but seems to be getting a little worse every time it happens. Long story story short, my power steering will favor or pull to, one side or the other. Lets say it pulls to the right , when I apply pressure back to the left it will suddenly engage and pull back to the left with a slight jerk. So I'm fighting the truck left and right when this happens. I can pull over and shut the truck off, and restart, and sometimes the issue will stop.
I've been under the truck and mechanically , there is nothing loose or broken. I'm curious to whether this is associated with the steering recall on this model truck. Any insight will be appreciated. Thank y'all
If by steering recall you are talking about the steering damper FSA, then no, I don't think a bad steering stabilizer will cause what you are describing. It wouldn't hurt to go have them replace the OE damper under that FSA, but I doubt that's the problem.
Yes sir you are correct. A steering damper would have nothing to do with what's going on. I didn't realize the recall was for a damper. That's bad news. I'm about to have to spend some money.
