If you buy an Victron Orion-TR Smart DC to DC charger, I would buy it from Battle Born, their price is competitive and the phone support is great. They walked me through every single setting to dial my charger in prefect for 2 - 100 amp lithium batteries.
Great info - thanks everyone. I did purchase the Renogy 50A Charger/MPPT unit. However, I think I will hold off on connecting this to the truck for DC DC charging until I can either: a) Run a separate cable OR b) Use existing cable but put a Current Limiter in line to avoid melting anything
Dang! I was hoping you would connect it up and test the limits of the OEM 7-pin circuit and see how many amps you could draw before you blew a fuse or relay.

When I get the install done on the TT I'll connect it up and see what happens. It's just starting to warm-up in southern Ontario, so I hope to get the install done in late April or early May. For those interested, I'm going with the following components:
- Renogy 50A charger/MPPT solar controller
- 2 X 100watt Renogy solar panels
- Renogy 100A smart lithium battery
- Renogy BT-2 bluetooth dongle

How do you like the Outdoors RV? Are you happy with the features and tow ability? Have you had many quality issues? Do you take it on dirt roads? If so, is there any issue with dust/dirt getting into your RV? Thanks in advance as the ORV is now on my radar screen.

So far we are very happy with the ORV. We've got a little over 12K miles on it now. Feature-wise we stuck with the base Mountain Series with some key options like the 12v fresh water heater and the 16" wheel upgrade. The heavy duty custom 8" frame is certainly a step up from most and the standard tank capacities are also quite large - 80g fresh and 40g each black/gray on our model. Quality from the factory was good and we had no warranty issues. The work that I've done outside of routine maintenance has been to add or improve things, ideally without having to tear it up or rewire it. ORV's are known to be on the heavy side, especially on the tongue weight. The Blue Ox Sway-Pro does a great job and the combination tows beautifully. We have been down some dirt roads a few times and the suspension does a good job. I haven't noticed much in the way of dust inside even though we usually keep the MaxxAir vents open. We are starting to gear up for some northward travels once the covid mess gets under control and the border opens up - interior BC, Alberta, Yukon Territories and eventually Alaska - and the ORV's seemed to be the perfect camper for those kinds of trips. Good luck in your search and let me know if you have other questions.
