Backup Camera Problem

2020 Ford F350 XL/STX. Camera works, but isn't there some kind of an audible warning before you hit something? No I didn't hit anything, yet.

I can get to within inches of things without any alarm. Thanks.

Does the backup camera make noise to warn you of things behind your vehicle?

Not sure its the camera mode but your back up sensors should be beeping..maybe they're turned off ?

It's not in the camera. If you have the backup sensors, that's what makes the beeping. If you have the 4 sensors in your rear bumper, you have that system. If you don't hear the beeps, check your settings, they could be turned off.

The Reverse Sensing System is not offered in the XL/STX trim level. It is available as an option in the XLT and up.

Oh, and a side note, those backup sensors, if you do have them, only work if you can hear them over the 3 screaming kids in the backseat. Don't ask me how I know.

Or if they aren't covered with salt and grime from the winter. I will never willingly purchase the reverse (or forward) sensing system again.
