My 2008 Ford F-350 SD 6.4 Diesel arrived last Thursday. Delivery was delayed for four working days to install the Ford Serurity (Alarm) System. My truck was the first 2008 SD to have the alarm system installed at the dealership. The technician found that the wiring colour coding to hook up the alarm is different in some areas than 2007 Ford SD's. He has spent a total of nine hours working on it and cannot resolve one problem until Ford instructs him on the problem. The alarm is installed and working except the park lights will not flash on arming. I have to return to dealership in about a week to finish the job. Please be aware of this problem and make sure you have an install cost quote for the job rather than by the hour. Perhaps this problem will also occur with an aftermarket alarm install. I am glad I went with the Ford alarm system so Ford can figure out the problem.

The truck is a sweetheart to drive for 50 miles on way home today from the delivery. Smooth ride, very quiet and comfortable seats. I really enjoyed my 99SD 7.3 but this is a big step forward.

I am having a fifth whell hitch installed Friday and will share any problems with the frame brackets etc. The fun has begun.

That's odd. We've installed 3 remote starts so far, no issues at all.
