Need to know before I call dealer Monday morning. How many on this thread have ordered in April or before and are not scheduled with at least a VIN? This would help me choose my strategy during the call.
Thanks
They won't be installing "chips", they will be installing modules that contain the chips.
Dealer is being very pessimistic about order times.
Make sure your dealer actually placed the order, some are holding back, some don't have order allocation available.
My order went in 06/14 and is scheduled to be built week of 08/02, and that should land it at the dealer last of August or first of september.
My dealer is pessimistic about order times as well. He said Friday "It will be months before Ford Recognizes the order."
What are ways to check the dealer actually placed the order? I got him to send me a copy of the visibility report, and also Ford Marketing sees the order in their system. It appears to me that at least my order is in they system.
The Vehicle Visibility Report says Primary Staus :"In Order Processing" Secondary Status: "Unscheduled Clean"

I checked with the dealer last week. I had a production date scheduled and a VIN. Ordered in early April.
I've been a lurker here then member for over a year now. Finally ordered my new truck on 6/24!!! F350 CCSB, 7.3, 4.30 XLT Premium Package.
I received a confirmation email the following day.
This forum has been invaluable in learning about Super Duties and most if not all the info I gained here was critical in making my final decisions on ordering options. Thanks everyone!
So far two members with no schedule info from April or before. Thought there would be alot more.
Thanks for the replies so far, we will see if there are any more during the day.
I just filled out the order for my 250. My dealer sent me an email with all the specs and minutes later I got an email from Ford thanking me for ordering a SuperDuty. I haven’t signed anything…haven’t given any money…so I assume there is more to it. For instance…there is no way to know what the final deal will be once the truck is at the dealership…so how does this work? My dealer originally said I would be giving a $500 dollar deposit, refundable if I don’t like the deal. If anyone has done this before I’d love to hear how it works.

Did you order the Ultimate Trailer Tow package? If so, your order won’t be scheduled “until further notice.” My F350 CCLB, 7.3, 4.30 XLT Premium Package went from a scheduled week of 7/19 to 9/27 when they announced the hold on scheduling XLT’s with the UTT package. If you didn’t get the tow package with the 360° camera package, you could get scheduled for early August. Good luck, and congrats.

Thanks for the reply. My spec sheet order form just says "Trailer Towing Package" not UTT.
