Plain old wood, cut that piece in 2004 for my last SD, transferred it to the '19, same piece of pretty ordinary 2x6 every since.
Its SO ordinary I had to write on it "F350 Bed Divider - Do Not Cut Or Throw Away" in big letters with a marker

Lots of great ideas, I may change my go to. I used 3/4 inch exterior grade plywood and glued and screwed 2 thicknesses together. In my mind less chance of warping and twisting. I also had the plywood laying about after a project.
