COOLANT FLUSH with recommendations

So if i do a flush & fill, obviously I need coolant. Is distilled water a must ? Do I need to add ANYTHING else ?
Are there any, "while you're at it" things I should take care of ? Hoses etc.?
I will inspect the hoses and fittings, but is there anything from your experience, that should be addressed ?
123,000 miles on truck. How long do the hoses last ? It's a 2012.

Flush with distilled water until the fluid that drains out of the radiator is relatively clear. At that point refill with antifreeze (preferably Ford Yellow coolant) to get you at 50% coolant capacity (see owners manual for total coolant capacity) and then top off with distilled water.

Delo ELC doesn't have SCAs.

750,000 miles (1,200,000 km) on-road use (8 years or 15,000 hours off highway use) or 1,000,000 miles/1,600,000 km/20,000 hours/8 years with a Delo FleetFix® CME addition at 500,000 miles/800,000 km/10,000 hours/4 years.

For most of these Super Duty truck owners the time rating will most likely take effect before the miles so the Motorcraft Yellow rated at 10 years I believe is a excellent choice for our trucks.

I'm lazy, use delo in them all Mack, Volvo, Ford, Ram, Caterpillar. As I said its easier, not saying that its better. My 2 cents, is worth 1 cent on this topic.

The Ford Orange coolant is and meets the DEX Cool specs. Ford recommends in their maintenance section of the owners manual to drain, flush if contaminated otherwise flush with distilled water and then refill with 50% coolant ever 105k miles. The new Yellow, as stated doesn't require the maintenance as the Orange. And neither have SCA's. Both are ELC OAT coolants.

Ford does not list the Orange coolant any long on their chemicals website.

So I have the Motorcraft Yellow/gold. Do I need to add anything to it ?
To do the initial flush, are you saying to use distilled water to flush ? How would you pressurize it to actually "flush" the system?

You would drain as much of the old coolant as possible, add distilled water, allow to circulate, drain and repeat till you feel confident.

The orange and yellow coolants do not have SCA and are considered a ELC coolant.

You drain and fill with distilled water. When driving the water pump circulates the water thru the coolant system and then you drain therefore you're flushing the system. Step and repeat until the distilled water looks about clear.
