Fuel tank upgrade

Hello, I am trying to get some information on my 2016 F250 6.7 diesel. I am wanting to upgrade my fuel tank to a 40 gallon or better. I have been towing my camper and get tired of stopping every 200 to 250 miles. Just looking for some info and cost. Thanks

Cheaper than the titan and uses the OEM retaining ring unlike the titan that requires torquing bolts.

I installed the 65gal Titan tank on my 2013 CCLB before it had 1000kms on it. I’m at 136,000kms and it has been problem free and I installed it myself.

Above and beyond the range or being able to fill up somewhere that’s cheaper, my tank paid for itself with the safety I experienced in 2016 - my city of approx 80k people faced a mandatory wildfire evacuation. With only one highway out, the drive to the nearest city that normally takes 5 hours took 10 in the bumper to bumper chaos. I was able to avoid huge lineups and further traffic by skipping the fuel stop at the first town (normally 2.5hrs in) with my family on board. I never stopped for fuel once. Any truck I have in the future will run a Titan tank.

I want one of those as well. And their body mount bushings when my truck needs them.

I'd love to have one of those larger tanks, I don't drive long distances enough to make it worth it but I'm very jealous of the range you get with those 50+ gallon fuel tanks! Maybe when I grow up I'll grab one...

Just remember adding more fuel adds to the weight of the truck. I would love to have a bigger tank but I can only have 2,300 LB's in my F250 now. I am at the limit with my 5th wheel now.

Very good point to keep in mind for all the F250 guys. Big reason I went with the F350 insead of a 250. GVWR of 11,500 lbs on my truck vs 10K for a 250.

With the 52 Gallon S&B tank full, my family loaded up and 5th wheel hitch in the bed, my truck scales at 9300 lbs. I'd be hurting severely on payload if I had a 250 and the S&B.

I went with the S&B because at the time, it offered the OEM locking ring for the fuel sender vs the titan that didn't. I believe titan has the oem locking ring on their new models now as well, but that wasn't an option when I bought my tank.

Gas weighs approx. 8 lbs/ gal. And extra 30 gal added to the fuel tank is about 240 lbs or about the size of a typical male in the U.S.

I think I will be fine. I just have to get the larger tank. Why ford only installed a 26 gal diesel tank on these trucks is criminal.

Agreed on the size of the OEM tank on the CCSBs. Should have been at a minimum 35 gallons.
