What will cause the accumulator to frost over on the outside during a refrigerant recovery?

 

High ambient humidity and the cooling effects of refrigerant under lowering pressure due the evacuation/recovery perhaps?

 

Plausible anywhere else besides Arizona and 80’ 😁
I was thinking it’s got a lot of moisture in it. Idk I just play an ac tech

 

Well sure that MIGHT be the case! "Playing" at anything tends to be costly so be careful under that hood!

However if frost or moisture is collecting on the outside of the accumulator that's not due moisture in the A/C system.
