Looking through dads stuff, been at the “dentside” game for a long time, and ran across this belt buckle. According to my ol man, he bought his truck early ‘80 from this ford dealer, which is no longer around. It was a dealer lease rig and had about 5000 miles on it when he got it. This belt buckle was given for buying a new ”ish” Ford truck.
Whatcha think? Anyone else have promo items laying around?
You all have seen the rig before but, here she is with the new body.
Very nice rig and cool belt buckle. I was in my local JY parts hunting and found a set of the old metal stick on (local) dealership cowl tags on a 79 F150. I got them and then took them to the dealership and gave them back to the owner. They have been in business since 2/27/1976. The owner has a great collection of Ford trucks, to include a very nice 79 F150 4wd red/white XLT I once spotted in the dealership bay one day getting worked on. It was like a brand new truck.
There is always something cool in the showroom. https://www.billgrantford.net/
Yes not as personal or cool as your fathers belt buckle for sure. But sort of along the lines of your thread. I am looking for a pic of the cowl badge...
I have one of these. Didn't come with truck, just walked into the dealership and asked if I could get a license plate frame and they handed me one. Was just there on a visit. It was a large dealership.
I don't have anything cool and separate like that, but my rig does still have the dealer badges on it. It originally came from a small town (population ~600) dealer nearby that is still in business and the rig is only about 80 miles away from where it started.

I had a 1973 Bronco that came from this same dealer and had dealer badge on front driver fender.
For my 1973 F250, I’m looking for Wilson Russell Vallejo CA dealer license plate frames if anybody has one or two by chance. This is a picture from a fellow Bronco owner who has a Bronco from there. I’ve been looking for almost a year now and haven’t found one yet.

I have had decent luck hitting ebay or just doing a google search for these. Like i said, decent luck but, usually at collector prices.

Thanks and yeah I have a search set on eBay but none have shown up in the almost year I’ve been looking. Have contacted a few LP/LP frame dealers in CA as well and none have. I have a couple Bronco guys looking for them at CA swap meets as well. Will find them eventually. The dealership was Wilson Russell for 10 years then changed to Wilson Cornelius, which you can find easily. I will use them if I can’t find the Wilson Russel.
