I have a 1977 Ford F250 Custom, Factory came with single piston caliper disc brakes up front and drums in the rear. did other 77 fords come with dual piston calipers?
I am not sure if they make a kit for your truck, but if you do upgrade the calipers, make sure you upgrade the master cylinder to account for more fluid volume/pressure. Bigger brakes need a master cylinder that can keep up with them.
Is your truck a 2wd F250? Is there something wrong with the single piston braking? You know it's not a race truck and will not handle or brake like a newer vehicle. But it can get better with some time and $. Is your master cylinder and power brake booster all in good working order?
Dual piston brake caliper is standard on my 77 F250 that is 4wd.
