In my 2019, the glow plug icon would come on for about 2-3 seconds before I could crank the engine after being left overnight. On my 2020, the glow plug icon comes on for about a tenth of a second, if it comes on at all before I crank. Did Ford change something?
Also, did Ford change how much “boost” you get with the 2020 turbos?
In my 2019 I could probably get about 25 psi if I floored the pedal. in my 2020 I can get closer to 35 if I floor the pedal.
Well it's odd your 2019 GP light stayed on that long. The 6.7 has always used rapid heat, the 2020+ engines are different and so is the turbo. This is covered in detail in the gen three thread.

After driving truck for 20-30 min, running into a store and coming out within 45 min or so the light would rarely come on.
Definitely notice a difference in my 2020.

my ‘19’s glow plug light stays on for 2-3 seconds on a cold day, are you saying it should be quicker?
OP, I can bury my foot in my ‘19 and get it up to about 35 psi, not sure why yours was so low. I can make 20 psi pretty easily.
