I searched the internet and couldn't find an answer. Watched some YouTube and still came up empty.
The bed of my 60s Econoline has a bit of surface rust. So it's a mix of factory paint floor and areas of rust. I want to stop the rust and I'm going to cover the floor with plywood and carpet so I'm not real concerned about what the metal floor looks like because, hopefully, I'll never see it again.
Anyway, can I paint POR 15 over paint? Everything I read or watched was talking about painting over bare metal and/or rust. I want to paint it, forget about it and never think about it again.
It is also a odd product that dries with humidity. It talks about it somewhere in their information. I painted an engine block and I live in a very dry climate with humidity levels in the low teens a lot of the year. The paint was tacky for weeks. The first day it rained that paint set up like a rock. It still looks great 11 years later. The paint is very prone to drips and it will not clean up off of your hands. Wear nibril or latex gloves.
